1.  Thorong La Pass

Thorong La Pass Trekking (Annapurna Circuit Trekking) is one of the most popular trekking tours in Nepal . The trek passes through a countless of biospheres as you climb upwards from sub-tropical jungle to the high and very dry region that resembles the Tibetan Plateau. The area also has a great variety of cultural diversity with the various tribal and ethnic groups that inhabit the area, residing as they have for centuries in peace and harmony. Thorong La Pass trek takes you past the world’s deepest gorge – the Kali Gandaki gorge and then over the highest pass in the world – Thorong La at an elevation of 5,416 m. The trek goes through the remote and beautiful valley of Manang village and then to the spiritual place of Muktinath.

 It combines a wide variant climate zone from tropical, subtropical till plateau land. The best month of crossing Thorong La is from March to May and September to November, although trekkers love crossing it in December, January months where the pass is full of snow. It is strongly suggested to trek with an experienced guide in this trail since the pass attempts some difficult ascending. 

2. Kang La Pass

The trail to this remote hidden valley left untouched by civilizations enters from near Chame, on the trail of popular Annapurna trek. Explore the valley to the north, visit Phu village situated on the edge and travel south to Nar Village. After crossing Kangla pass (5100m) you may have views east of Chulu East and join the main Annapurna trail. Nar and Phu villages are the most remote villages behind the Himalayas. The elevation of the valley became prominent around 1960 when Khampa from Tibet entered Nepal in Mustang and Manang Valley. Their dialect is different from other nearby areas. They have not left their nomadic folklore. There are three Buddhist monasteries dedicated to the Nyingmapa sect. Nar and Phu valley is the closest area that pre Buddhist tradition, culture and rituals are still intact like in Upper Dolpo.

3. Naar Pass

The upper route Nar Phu trek starts from the wild and obscure secluded village of Tache which is an ancient Gurung village at the lap of the mountain. The treks split at Baga Chhap which leads next to north east Annapurna circuit of hidden valley within the Annapurna region. The journey to Tache hidden valley of Naar Phu follows the iconic Annapurna circuit along the lush Marshyangdi river valley before diverging at the village of Dharapani or Bagarchhap.  The route then takes an adventurous progressive climb through the lush rhododendrons forest to high pastureland and sparse coniferous, junipers opened forest. The astonishing view of the Himalayan range of the Annapurna, Tilicho, Mansalu and more from Kuchumro pass (4900m).

The circuit leads us from the remote trail and equal ascending and descending but that will help you to acclimatize and get the legs and lungs in shape to get the Kangla pass (5350m) and the restricted and preserve valley of Naar Phu which was opened in 2002 for the foreigner. Relatively few trekkers have visited this exhilarating area with a rugged landscape and also it is not suitable for groups with more than 6 members.  Many Tibetan Khampa warriors settled in this valley in the middle of last century.  Since a few years, this valley is also well-known for the Yarsaguma, a fungus prized as an aphrodisiac is forged for the springtime when local people search for its overwhelming and it is sold at a sumptuous price to traders. 

4. Mesokanto Pass

Tilicho Mesokanto Pass Trekking’s most notable and gorgeous trip with Trek’s Himalaya professional crew will lead you to enjoy this incredible and stimulating adventure. Trekking begins with an overland force from Kathmandu to warm areas of Lamjung district at Syange village by means of the raging Marshyangdi River. This trekking situated on excessive picturesque Manang valley with incredible beauty of Western Himalaya area of Nepal, this amazing trekking leads on famous and well-known Annapurna circuit trail for a week and then heading into far flung remoted facet of Manang round beautiful Tilicho Lake and ending this awesome adventure at Mustang area in Jomsom after pass scenic excessive Mesokanto pass.

The path starts along the Marshyangdi River, with incredible views of Himal Chuli and Manaslu to the east. The trail will finally lead the trekkers to the magnificent villages occupied by way of a broad variety of people from irreplaceable cultural groups, offering wonderful and high-quality views of the white Himalaya. 

5. Yarcha Pass

Yarcha Pass, elevation 4834m, is one of the interesting passes of Annapurna Region. The route of the newly introduced trek – Annapurna Seven High Passes Trek also includes this remarkable pass. The fantastic and rewarding views of the Himalayas from Yarcha Pass makes the hike more amazing.

6. Kuchumro Pass

With the altitude of 4900m above the sea level, Kuchumro Pass is one of the remarkable passes of Annapurna Region that offers a dazzling and opulent view of the Himalayan range. One of the Seven High Passes of Annapurna Region holds equally challenging and fabulous features like other passes. This is the first and interesting high passes of Annapurna Seven High Passes Trek.
