PASHUPATINATH TEMPLE

Pashupatinath Temple is one of the very important religious place for the Hindu people. The temple is devoted to Lord Shiva. A Shiva Lingam was found here at the very beigining. So the temple was build here in 5th century. This temple and its area is also enlisted in world UNESCO heritage site. The temple resides on the bank of Bagmati river. It is made on the pagoda style. The temple is very large. A great bull is just infromnt of the temple which is also majestic. The temple is very busy in morning for the prayers. Lots of sadhu babas are found around the temple area.

Pashupatinath Temple is also known for the touristic value. According to the hindu religion the dead persons are burnt here. This has made tourist to go over there. The temple also has an evening arati (evening prayer). This is also enjoyed by the tourist. The temple has also forst area to its north. Monkeys, birds and also deers can be found there.

Hindu from India also comes to Pashupatinath for religious tour. The temple has a very high believe to the Hindu people. Thats why lots of people have faith on it. The temple is overcrowded in Shiva ratri.

Way to Pashupatinath

Pashupatinath is near to the Nepal’s Tribhuwan International Airport. The public running in ring road will easily take you to Gaushala from where you can reach the temple.
