Mera Peak Climb

Mera Peak Climb is an unforgettable adventure that takes you through the hidden Hinku valley of the Khumbu region. A daring climbing adventure, the Mera Peak Climb lets you summit to the tallest climbing peak of Nepal. The Mera Peak Climbing is one of the most amazing and breath-taking thrills of Nepal. The panorama of the Himalayas from the top of the summit of Mera Peak is something that is simply indescribable.  It is a great way to enjoy Nepal’s Himalayan lifestyle and to take in the Khumbu’s natural beauty. In addition, it is also one of the most marvelous accomplishments as well. Throughout the journey, the views of the Everest peaks make the journey even more extraordinary. The towering silver Himalayas line the skyline of the valley in the most dramatic way. Sleep under the stars surrounded by the snow as you make your way to the summit.

Mera Peak Climb

Enjoy views of peaks like Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Nuptse, the Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu and many more as you relish in the natural pristine environment of the river valley. It is a great respite for your mountaineering soul. Although the Mera Peak Climbing is not a technical journey, you still need good stamina for the adventure as you will be trekking for extended periods of time on consecutive days. It takes a lot of stamina and endurance to overcome climbing with weight on your back. The Peak was first explored extensively by British expeditions in the 1950s before and after the ascent of Everest. The view from the summit is one of the finest in the Himalayas. Truly five spectacular 8000 meter peaks visible. Mt.Everest (8848m), Cho-Oyu (8201m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8463m), Kanchenjunga (8586m) as well as Nuptse (7855m) and Chamlang (7319m) are most admirable highlight of the whole trip.

Day 1 Fly to Lukla from Kathmandu and trek to Paiya

The trekking will start with the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airport. Lukla airport offers you with lifetime experience as it is one of the dangerous airports in the world. The runway of the airport lies between the two hills which is the difficult runaway for the experienced pilot also. Its airfield is at high elevation and the difference between the two ends of the runway is about 60 metres. Then you will begin your trek to Paiya.

Day 2 Paiya to Nanggom

This day you will trek from Chutenga and ascend steeply to cross Satrawala Pass and continue to Zarobok enjoying  the spectacular views of Numbur Himal, Kongde Ri, Karyolang peak and many others. Then you will descend to Khartitang .

Day 3 Panggom to Ningsow

The route now will head towards Kothe. You will take a steep descent trail through the juniper and rhododendron forest to reach Kothe.

Day 4 Ningsow to Chhatra Khola

After having the hearty and warm breakfast you will head towards Tangnang penetrating the Hinku Valley. The trail gradually ascends offering the scenic view of Kusum Kanguru. These canvas pictures like scenic views will relax your mind, body and soul.

Day 5 Chhatra Khola to Kothe

This is the rest day for the trekkers. The visitors will get the chance to indulge themselves in the tradition and culture of the people of the villages. You will get an opportunity to wander around the valley and explore the local culture. The visitors will enjoy the scenic views of the stunning peaks and glaciers.

Day 6 Kothe to Thakhek

You will have the exciting and thrilling climb up along the lateral moraine of the glacier. It provides an interesting view of Mera Peak. The travellers can enjoy the Himalayas painted pink during the time of sunset and sunrise.

Day 7 Taknak to Khare

This is the day you will roam around the Khare and explore its surroundings and prepare yourselves for climbing Mera Peak.

Day 8 Khare to Mera High Camp

Today you will continue to the high camp. You will be blessed with the stunning panoramas of giant mountains rising above 7000m which are Chamlang (7290m), Makalu (8475m) and Baruntse (7220m) to the east, Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8501m) and Nuptse to the north and Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu (8153meters) and Kantega to the west.

Day 9 Mera High Camp to Summit

This is the main highlight of the trip as you will begin your thrilling journey towards the summit of the Mera Peak. Then the travelers will embark their journey to the summit. It takes around 4-6 hours to reach the summit of Mera. From the summit, you can see the spectacular views of Mt. Everest (8,848m), Cho-Oyu (8,210m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,463m), Kanchenjunga (8,586m) Nuptse (7,855m), Chamlang (7,319m), Baruntse (7 ,129m) Ama Dablam (6,812m) Kangtega (6,779m) and many more. The travelers then retrace their steps down to high camp. After a rest accompanied by some hot soups/tea, you will continue down to Khare.

Day 10 Khare to Kothe

Now this is the time to say goodbye to the soft snow capped mountains and descend to Tangnang. You will retrace your way back to the Kothe and have a relaxing night there enjoying the local cuisines and warm soups.

Day 11 Kothe to thuli Kharka

You will trek back to Zarobok. The trail offers magnificent views of alpine vegetation like a huge rhododendron forest. If you are travelling during the spring season, you will be blessed with the amazing and majestic view of the blooms of the rhododendron throughout the village.

Day 12 Thuli Kharka to Lukla Via Zatrwa La Pass

The hike takes about 5 to 6 hours to reach the last point of the trek. You will head toward Chutenga. The trail ascends until you reach the Satrawala Pass and then again descends until you reach Chutenga. Throughout this journey you will be accompanied by the nice, cool and fresh breeze with the scenic view of the tall and beautiful Himalayan ranges. You will have time to enjoy your moment at Lukla with their signature brands of alcohol and their local brandy with the tasty and delightful cuisines. You can also celebrate your successful trekking with special brands of drinks.

Day 13 Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

Fly from Lukla Airport to Kathmandu Airport and enjoy the panoramic views of snowy mountains from the window of the plane. 

This is one of the adventurous trips in Nepal where you can enjoy the beautiful and ancient culture of the Sherpa people with the thrilling experience of climbing the summit of the Mera Peak. The trekkers can experience the isolated communities in the mountainous region with the wild scenery of the mountains on its own undisturbed habitat. It is a nerve shaking experience with the outstanding views of mountains, glaciers and glacier lakes.
