Furthermore, Sherpa people inhabited there along with their Sherpa/Tibetan lifestyle, rites and norms add spice in overall beauty. Different landmarks, and exceptional arenas, besides the Highest Mountain of the world. Similarly, Mount Everest fills the region with extra diversification which sweeps the feet and mind of all of its visitors. It is a full-fledged package which provides you overall experience in the lap of Himalayas. The Everest region is the number one trekking attraction in Nepal as well as in the whole world. It always stands in the Best Seller’s List within top 10 positions. This region is the home to the many Himalayas and the Mt. Everest stands tall with pride.  

The primary highlights of Everest Trek are scenic flights from Kathmandu to Lukla, Lukla Airport, Sagarmatha National Park, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche Monastery, Kalapatthar, Everest Base Camp, breathtaking mountain views and Sherpa people and culture. These highlights are explained in detail below.

1. Scenic Flight to Lukla

Before starting our Everest Trek, we require to take a short flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. This flight will be magnificent to view stunning Himalayan panoramas including Langtang and Everest. The Kathmandu valley, landscapes, the settlements, etc are beautiful to see from this smaller plane with a maximum of 19 seats. The flight takes 35 minutes to get Lukla.

2. Lukla airport

Lukla Airport is also known as Tenjing – Hillary Airport. This airport is recognized as the most dangerous airport in the world. The airport is located in the lap of the mountain in Lukla town. The weather at Lukla airport constantly changes. So that the flights from Kathmandu, frequently, have to be either postponed and delayed. Those who are preparing to do Everest Base Camp Trekking are recommended to have some spare days in case the flight is disturbed.  

3. Namche Bazaar

Namche Bazaar is the center attraction of Everest Base Camp where we acclimatize. During our acclimatization at Namche, we explored Tibetan market, Sherpa Cultural Museum, beautiful settlement of Namche Bazar and hike up to Hotel Everest View and enjoy spectacular Khumjung village and mountain panorama including Mt. Everest, the top of the world. We also enjoy the beautiful Amadablam from Namche Bazar. The availability of internet, Wi-Fi, cozy restaurants and hotels make this acclimatization more relaxed. 

4. Sherpa People and their Culture

Everest region is the abode to Sherpa people who are known as climbers. They are rich in culture and civilization. Buddhism is the major religious practice among these people. We can observe magnificent rituals, rites and festivals during our visit to Everest Base Camp. At the same time, we taste the flavor of organic and local food items of Sherpa people. 

5. Taste of a Sherpa Cuisine

The Cuisine made by the Sherpa in the various regions of Everest is coming under the delicacy in Nepal. The Sherpa Cuisine is also eaten in the lower region of a country. As we can see abundant in the mountain regions including cuisine that is also celebrated with various types of food species prepared locally and also can be available barley, potatoes, and buckwheat. Dumpling and Momo are also related to a famous Cuisine in the region of Everest. This is created with a delicious and warm delicacy after walking for a long day while walking in the region. 

6. Majestic Mountain Views

In the lap of Himalayas, we can expect only one view with clear expectation, the mountains, and its Ranges. The first and last sunlight in the snow-capped mountains gives you the feeling of something which can never be achieved by anything else. The beauty one can find in such mountains is almost out of the world. Apart from the view of Mt. Everest, the view of other mountains like Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, etc. surrounding the valley is more appealing. 

 7. Sagarmatha National Park

Sagarmatha National Park, the highest National Park in the world, ranges from 6000m to 8848m covering the huge number of mountains, rivers, peaks, valleys, and glaciers. The habitat of this National park is endangered species like snow leopard, red pandas, hornbill, and so on. The park is home to about 3000 Sherpa people as well. This park is well preserved and is one of the beautiful places one can visit.  

8. Peak Climbing

Everest Region consists of various peaks and mountains. If someone has to climb the highest mountains then, they can simply climb the highest mountain, the Mount Everest. But if one desires to conquer peaks, they will have the ideal choice of going for Mera Peak Climbing, Island Peak Climbing, and many others. For this, one must be habitual to walk and trek. Thus they are trained for several days to increase their capacity of walking and coping ability for easier climbing of peaks.  

9. Ancient Monasteries and Gompa

Monasteries and Gompa are those places where Buddhists people go for prayers and spiritual findings. These places have been famous for their approach of Buddhist monks with their spirituality and powers. One can find peace and harmony if they learn about these places and will make them calm and better. These sayings help tourists to go to monasteries. It provides an encounter with Sherpa people, their cultures, and traditions. Some of the monasteries found in Everest Region are monasteries at Khumjung, Thame Monastery, Tengboche Monastery, Pangboche Monastery, and many more unnamed ones. All of these monasteries carry their own attributes and specialties.  

10. Kalapatthar

Kalapatthar is the best vantage point in Everest Base Camp Trekking. We climb Kalapatthar from Gorak Shep early in the morning before sunrise. It takes about an hour to get the top of the hillock facing directly to Pumori. We celebrate astonishing views of sunrise and mountain summits include Lao Tse, Nupse, Pumori and Mt. Everest, the top of the world. 

11. The Trails

This is the most interesting thing after reaching the Base camp of Everest. There will be more excitement reaching the designed destination walking on the historical centuries-old path trodden with the great adventures out to the world. The trekking path is also regarded as the most delicate trail undoubtedly in the world. The traversing beautiful hamlets, wonderful monasteries, cultivated fields and landscapes along with the prayer flags that are being festooned in the trail. 12. The Spirituality

Everest region trek is, of course, a different and awesome trek among other regions of a country. Either you may not be a very sensible and spiritual person. In the same way, you also feel a peaceful satisfaction while passing throughout the path festooned with fluttering the prayer flags of Buddhist monks or a religion. You can even see the Maniu walls of it is also said to be a sprayer inscribed wall in the Everest region of a country.
