2. Muktinath Temple

A revered site for both the Hindu and the Buddhist people of the country, Muktinath is a sacred temple that is visited by hundreds of pilgrims. The temple and its vicinity are laden with artifacts and architectural beauties like the forty water-sprouts that are carved into the walls of the temple from which flow swift bursts of river water believed to atone the sins of man when bathed under. This is the first destination that trekkers come across after crossing the Thorong La Mountain Pass.

3. Marshyangdi and Kali Gandaki River Valley

The Annapurna Circuit Trek takes trekkers to two river valleys connected by the Thorong La Mountain Pass. These river valleys take up the northern-central Nepal and are blessed with amazing topographical features which trekkers can enjoy along the journey. With a diverse climatic variation and different biological biospheres scattered throughout the valleys, trekkers can enjoy a myriad of alpine and sub-tropical woodlands that provide an amazing canopy under which the trekking trail runs. Furthermore, the valleys are also drained by the Himalayan Rivers of Marshyangdi, Koshi and the Gandaki that have various tributaries that water the forests and wetlands home to many species of animals. 

4. Jomsom

Jomsom is a famous village that is often an overnights-stay destination for trekkers doing the Annapurna Circuit Trek. Situated by the banks of the Kali Gandaki River, the village is known for its Shaligrams- fossilized stones that are believed to be the natural state of Lord Vishnu by the Hindu people. The soaring peaks of the Annapurna and the Nilgiri Peaks also form picturesque backdrops to the village. Jomsom is also the home of the ethnic Thakali people.

5. Marpha

One of the destinations of the Annapurna Circuit Trek is Marpha. A pretty stone-lined village, Marpha is also renowned for its apples. In fact, Marpha is one of the leading destinations for apple-production and is known as “The apple capital of Nepal”. It is a great destination to stop for an overnight stay while trekking. The natural views of the apple orchard and the Tibetan Buddhist culture of the village make this one of the highlights of the Annapurna Circuit Trekking. 

6. Pokhara

One of the best tourist hubs of Nepal, Pokhara is the major starting point of most of the Annapurna region treks, including the Annapurna Circuit Trek. It is situated beside the Phewa Lake and presents close views of the Annapurna and the Machhapuchhre Himalayas. Pokhara is a great place to relax and enjoy the many sites that the city offers. After an arduous trekking journey, Pokhara welcomes its trekkers back with the promise of extra-elevated R-n-R. 

7. Wilderness

In this trek, you will be walking along the trails that preserve varieties of flora and fauna. After mountain glories and the cultural delights, in Annapurna Base Camp trek. Tilicho Lake is Nepal’s one of the beautiful Lakes which is located at the highest altitude of 4919 meters. And only 55 kilometers away from the hustle and bustle of Pokhara city. It is a glacial lake and is a popular tourist destination which is in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas. Also, the site is famous for hiking that goes through the Annapurna Circuit trek and takes an additional 3/ 4 days to reach the base camp of Tilicho.

Tilicho lake provides an adventurous journey to the risk-takers who love to accept geographical challenges. Commonly, most of the visitors prefer the Annapurna Circuit route, which crosses the watershed between Manang and Kali Gandaki valleys. As an alternative, we can even make our journey fantastic by taking an alternative route from the north side. This route is gaining much popularity among the tourists, nowadays. But, there are no tea houses or lodges near the Tilicho Base Camp. The snowy lake is wrapped by enormous, beautiful mountains like Khangsar, Nilgiri, Tilicho and Muktinath peak. Apart from natural beauty, the place is also recognized for religious beliefs as well. In the epic of Ramayana, the description of Tilicho can be found as the ancient lake Kak Bhusundi Lake.
