Chitwan Medical College is the first ISO Certified Teaching Hospital of Nepal. It is located in Chitwan of Province 3 which has been serving around quarter of a million people every year both from inside and people from India as well. The hospital is a private institution and has 750 beds offering specialty services with diagnostic facilities and imaging services. More than 70% of the 750 beds are occupied on an average and every day the visit of outpatients exceeds 1500 patients. The facility of CMC includes well equipped seminar and lecture halls, laboratories, departmental museums also, libraries with internet.

Inauguration

Chitwan Medical College started a Bachelor In Nursing(BNS) program in 2006 AD. However the inauguration was done in 2008 with the foundation located at Bharatpur.

The Emergency Department has  covered an area of 888 sq.m. and is 60 beds. This department is equipped to provide care to patients of all ages. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year providing urgent medical conditions ranging from complex problems such as heart attacks and stocks to simple but pressing conditions such as cuts and broken bones.
