Biruwa is the small town in the Bhaktapur district. It is about 7 km far from the Kathmandu district and lies in the eastern part of the Kathmandu valley. It is the part of the Suryabinayak municipality. Biruwa is the hometown of my mother so I often visit there to enjoy the beauty of the nature. Biruwa comprises of people of all the ethnicity and different customs and norms. The best time to visit this place is around September or October as we can get the glimpse of beautiful rice field.
As Biruwa is small town in the Bhaktapur district it mainly compromises of hills and sloppy land. On this one day tour you can explore the beauty of this place and you will find yourself bonding your mind and soul with the nature. You can also hike in the hills surrounding this place discovering the beautiful scene surrounding you. The town is mostly famous for the beauty and for the worshippers. The town is also the holy place for the Goddess Bindabasini. The Bindabasini Temple is the imitate of the real Bindabasini temple of Pokhara so the worshippers from around the Kathmandu valley come here to offer their devotion. The main festival celebrated in here is LUBHU JATRA which is celebrated for about 7 days from the day of AKSHAY TITRIA. The jatra mainly falls on the mid of the April. The main gods and goddesses that are worshiped in this jatra are Ganesh , Mahalaxmi and Mahabhairav.
