Boudhanath Stupa

Boudhanath is a one of the most beautiful stupa located inside the Kathmandu valley. The place is known as Boudha where it is located due to its presence. It is around 11km far from the center of the city. The Boudhanath is one of the enlisted property of the UNESCO world heritage. The stupa is largest and is made on the mandala structure. A pure mandala stucture can be seen from an aerial view photo of the stupa. It is sacred place for the Buddhist people. Lamas are found here praying and worshipping. There are lots of lama schools around this boudhanath stupa area.

The giant strucute and its beauty has made boudhanath stupa a touristic place. A tourist visiting Kathmandu do not miss the chance to visit here. There are good facilites for the tourist here. Good serviced hotels and retaurents are found around the stupa areas. The hotels offers a majestic view of the stupa along with its hospitality. The area is also one of the famous market in the valley. Lots of Nepali made handicraf are sold there.

How to get there

Public vehicle are found from old bus park and also from new bus park. The way is from chabahel, chuchepati. It is not hard to reach there but traffic jams may be a problem. Lots of taxi are also found there.
