Maha Shivaratri

Maha Shivaratri is one of the very famous event in Nepal. It is dedicated to the Hindu god Lord Shiva. This event is of great importance to all Shiva’s bhakta’s. It is celebrated on the 14th of Māgh as per hindu calander. Hundreds and thousands of devotees comes to Pashupatinath to celebrate the Shivaratri. Also people visit Kailashnath Mahadev temple of sanga.

This night is very much popular for the young generation people of Nepal. People worship lord Shiva in morning and in the evening people gather around and enjoy the large fire. The Baba’s in the pashupati area performs lots of activity during this day. They smoke and drink all day. It is also known as holy prasad of Shiva the bhang ko laddu. They also distribute the bang laddu to devotess.

Spring is best season to visit Nepal. And Shivaratri falls in spring so, lots of Indian devotees also visit the Pashupatinath for the worship. Million of people crowd in Pashupatinath and thousand in other Shiva temples this day. Sadhu babas from india also comes early to celebrate the Shivaratri here.

A newbie person can entertain and learn lot in this event. They can also enjoy this event even if they are of different religion. Lots of tourist also loves this great festival.
