Namche Bazar is the gateway towards the Everest. The market is colorfull and filled with shops selling lots of Tibetean and Nepalese artifacts. The Namche Bazar has a great importance for its trade of Yak produts like wool, mil and chese. The Bazar gives a side by view of the great Himalayas.The place is mostly inhabitated by the SHerpa people.  Namche Bazaar has still preserved its ancient culture and traditions. 

The Bazar is now filled up with lots of facilites. Tourist can find restaurent, hotels and even bars. There are cyber cafes. People going for the Everest Base Camp Trekking always stays here due to its such enjoyable environment.

To reach namche bazaar:

Fly to Lukla from KTM, and then walk 1-2 days. Alternatively, bus to Jiri and walk in 7-10 days.
