Holi Festival

Holi festival is a festival of colors and joy. It is one of the famous festival. Holi is a very joyfull festival event. The holi is mainly the festival of hindus peoples but as the modernisation other religion people alse love to celebrate the Holi. Now people from any religion can enjoy this festival. It occurs around in the month of March. It is also very famous in the India. Lots of events happen during this festivals. The government officially decrlares public holiday on this festival in the country.

The terai region and the hilly region have seperate day for this festival. The hilly region celebrate the Holi one day ahead of the Holi celebrated in the Terai region. Childern and Adult both enjoy the holi a lot. Splasing waters and colors to each other face. Roaming the city with coloured body is full of fun in this festival. People also gather in the Kathmandu Durbar Square to play the holi. Lots of external tourist come to join and enjoy the holi there.

Holi is a Hindu festival but now it has become popular with other religion as well in many parts of South Asia, as well as people of other communities outside Asia. It is believed that holi is celebrated on the remebrance of the death of the monster known as Holika.
