Dhulikhel Hospital

Dhulikhel hospital is an independent non-government hospital located in the Dhulikhel municipality of the Kavre district. The hospital is conceived and supported by the Dhulikhel community. It is about 30 km Northeast of the Kathmandu valley. The hospital has been providing quality care and treatment to the people for about more than two decades. It covers approximately about 1.9 million patients from the Kavre, Sindhupalanchowk, Dolakha, Ramechhap Bhaktapur and other surrounding districts. The hospital was constructed by the late king Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev in 1996 with the collaborative project from the Municipality of Dhulikhel, NepaliMed and Dhulikhel Health service Association. The hospital is guided by the goal of sustainable development, social equity and quality care and treatment.  This hospital is the best health care centre for the people of the Dhulikhel municipality and the surrounding districts.

Dhulikhel hospital is mostly trusted by the people of Dhulikhel community as it has been in service to the public for about more than two decades. It has about 300 beds and has provided services to the people of more than 50/75 districts. The hospital is also the university hospital for all the medical programs which are run in Kathmandu university. It runs under the collaboration of Kathmandu university and is the training centre for the different medical science students.

Hospital is providing preventive, promotive and curative services to all outreach rural communities.  The main aim of the hospital is to remove the health problems of the community from the grass root level. The hospital aims to implement these measures and services through close monitoring and evaluation. 

We can reach this hospital from the public transportation which runs from the New Bus Park of the Kathmandu valley or we can call the ambulance of the hospital.
