Ashapuri is one of the hindu temple that lies on the Sipadole of Surya Binayak municipality. It lies in the hill of the Sipadole community mostly compromising of Tamang ethnicity. The temple lies at the junction of the bank of the two rivers. Those rivers add the extra beauty to the temple. The temple is at the base of the hill due to which we can get the glimpse of the beautiful landscape that surrounds the temple. The less populated area of this temple provides the best escape to the people of urban areas who wants to enjoy the peace with the nature.

History of Ashapuri

According to old folk tales people who have wished something from their heart visit this temple to offer their praying. As from the name of the god (god that grants the wish) it is to be believed that the god grant the wish of the people who pray from the bottom of the heart with the pure soul. So, the people often visit this temple with the wish in their heart to make their life better.

INFORMATION

A month long fair starts in this temple in the month of Shrawan according to the lunar calendar. The devotees from Kathmandu valley, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur and Kavre come here to offer their praying. The temple is usually crowded on every week of Mondays on the Month of Shrawan, Shivaratri and TEEJ. Those who are fond of hiking can hike from the Suryabinayak to this temple. We have to pass the steep and twisted roads.

This temple has both the cultural and natural beauty to it. We can once escape from this hectic and boring life to enjoy the beauty, peace and cultural value of this place. We can get there from our own private vehicles and cab or we can hike from the Doleswor temple.
