Annapurna Circuit Trek

Annapurna Circuit is the most diverse and popular trekking area in Nepal. From the full three-week Annapurna Circuit, which stretches across the historic Mustang region to short three-day treks. There’s a trek that’s right for everyone here.

As the name suggests, the center part of this part of Nepal is the mountain range that includes Annapurna I. It is the first of the 8,000 m peaks to be climb. Between these two mountains lies the Kali-Gandaki River valley, the deepest gorge in the world. Trekkers are meeting fascinating Thakali people in this area. They are consider to be successful at business activities. Their home cooking is enjoyed by both visitors and the people of Nepal in general.

These areas are much drier than the southern slopes of the mountains. This adds to an arid climate that is desert-like and somewhat different from the lower regions . Sometime where there are lush pastures and fertile fields.

Hiking in Nepal isn’t a ‘turn up whenever you like and off you go’ kind of thing; seasonal changes (especially around the monsoon period) have a massive impact on where, how, and what you can hike here.

The Annapurna Circuit hiking periods are October-early December, and late February-April.

Although the hiking can break your leg muscles, it’s definitely not mean to break your bank balance. As we describe, we run the Annapurna Circuit on a group trip, which mean that all but our regular meals and tipping had been cover by the overall charge .

If you’re hiking the circuit solo, plan to spend somewhere from USD $700-1000, which will cover your lodging, fuel, and permits.
